The health science department at Celeste High School received a wonderful surprise this holiday season: a generous donation from the Celeste Thursday Club. This club, which has been helping the Celeste community and schools since 1901, aims to provide support and services to those in need.
This year, CHS introduced a new health science program that offers classes in healthcare and medical therapy. These classes are designed to prepare students for future careers in nursing and biomedical science. When members of the Thursday Club learned about this new program, they wanted to assist with costs. They purchased essential items such as stethoscopes, first aid kits, and index cards, and they also donated money to help buy other necessary supplies.
Health science instructor Jen Giles expressed her gratitude, saying, “We are so thankful to the Thursday Club for supporting our students and teachers!”
