Powerlifting Season Results

The powerlifting state competition meets have concluded.  Carley Wren qualified for the girls’ state meet and beat her personal record on her total and finished 13th out of 19 lifters. At the boys’ state meet, Sebastian Ortega also had a personal record on his total and finished 11th out of 15 lifters.

Overall recap on the season:

36 students competed at a meet this year (12 girls, 24 guys).

During the regional meet, we had 7 girls make it and 9 guys. At the regional meets we had 1 girl and 1 guy qualify for state (along with 2 other girls and 3 other guys medaling in the top 5). Our guys also set 3 regional records.
