District 2 FFA Spring Meeting

District 2 FFA held a spring meeting at Celeste High School on Monday, May 2, 2022.  Pairs Walker, 2021-2022 District 2 President, conducted the meeting and gave her retiring address.  The top District 2 Career Development Event teams were announced as well as the results from the speaking events contest.  Justin Richey, Preslee Minter and Luke Beadles served as voting delegates.  Celeste FFA members, Paris Walker, Ally D’Amico, Justin Richey and Preslee Minter, were recognized for placing 1^st in wool, and Luke Beadles placed 1^st in Senior Prepared Speaking in the Plant Science Division.  Luke will compete in the Area round on May 7.  Celeste FFA members, Madisyn Douglas and Koby Brown, have been preparing to run for District 2 officer.  In preparation, they interviewed and took a test over parliamentary procedures, general information and the history of the FFA on April 25.  During the District 2 meeting, they gave candidate speeches and delegates voted.  Celeste FFA is proud to announce that Madisyn was elected as the District 2 Historian and Koby will be the District 2 Chaplain for 2022-2023.
