Renee Gray is STATE bound in UIL Poetry!

On April 16-17, 2021, the following Celeste High School students competed at the UIL Region II-2A Academic Contest at Grayson College in Denison, TX:  Brody Pryor, Rustin Giles, Jared Sherwin, Justin Sherwin, Kaleb Smith and Renee Gray.   In the number sense competition, Brody Pryor, Rustin Giles, Jared Sherwin, and Justin Sherwin placed 4th overall as a team.  In the mathematics competition, Jared Sherwin was the 5th place individual.  In the prose competition, Kaleb Smith placed 5th in the prelim round, and Renee Gray is state bound in UIL poetry! She placed 1st in her heat advancing to finals, where she clinched 2nd place!  Details for the state UIL academic contest coming soon . . .
