CHS Student Earns OSHA 30-Hour Certification

Celeste High School is proud to announce that sophomore Alexandra De La Hoya earned an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 hour general industry certification.  This intensive certification provides an advanced training about common safety and health hazards on the job.  The course curriculum included 27 modules, ranging from OSHA introduction, fire protection, electrical safety, bloodborne pathogens, protective equipment and asbestos awareness just to name a few of the topics.  The OSHA certification is a beneficial boost for students to add on job and college applications and resumes.  This is the first time that Celeste High School has offered the 30-hour certification, so a big congratulations to Alex for successfully accomplishing this challenging task.
