Honoring Theresa Moore: An Exemplary Educator and Heart of Celeste ISD

Theresa Moore has long been a cherished part of the Celeste ISD family, and her recognition as a designated "Exemplary" Teacher is a reflection of her dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her students and her community.

For Theresa, teaching is more than a profession — it’s a calling rooted in connection, care, and community. “Working at Celeste ISD brings a feeling of community,” she says. “The beautiful people I have had the honor of working with helped create this outstanding district.”

Over the years, Theresa has not only made an impact as an educator but also as a friend, mentor, and steady presence in the lives of countless students and colleagues. Her love for the small-town spirit of Celeste shines through in everything she does. “I love the family that we have made within our small-town school,” she shares. “I know I can count on anyone to help out if needed.”

One of the most meaningful parts of her journey has been the opportunity to teach the children of her former students — a full-circle moment that speaks volumes about the lasting relationships she has built. “Celeste ISD helped play a part in my personal children's success as well as my own. I will be forever grateful.”

Theresa’s impact goes beyond academics. It’s the personal connection she forms with each child — the genuine care for what’s happening in their lives, both inside and outside the classroom — that sets her apart. “The connection to the kids not only as an educator, but also as a person that cares about what is going on in their lives has inspired me to continue teaching.”

Theresa Moore is the heart of what makes Celeste ISD so special. Her passion, her kindness, and her deep roots in the community continue to inspire both students and fellow educators alike. We are honored to celebrate her as an exemplary teacher — and even more so, as an extraordinary human being.
