CJHS 2016-2017 ACADEMIC AWARDS ASSEMBLY

Celeste Junior High School held an academic awards assembly on May 26, 2017 to recognize students for outstanding academic performance throughout the 2016-2017 school year.  The assembly kicked off with a special presentation given by a school band including Mr. Corey Christian, CJHS science teacher, and CJHS students Michael Connelly, Zachary Pickle, William Leroy, Jake Tomlinson and Zarah Hammer.  The band, better known as the The Originals, came about when students expressed a desire to Mr. Christen about learning to sing and play instruments.  Having a background in music, Mr. Christen assisted the students and even met with them after school to help them create the band.  The Originals entertained the audience with several selections.   During the assembly, students were acknowledged for academic excellence in all subject specific courses as well as extracurricular achievements.
