Celebrating their 50^th year, the 2017 edition of the Hunt County Fair has now come to a close. During the ten day run, April 21-30, Celeste FFA members were very involved in the livestock show and many other agricultural based events. This year Shayla Daugherty and Kloe Walker represented Celeste FFA by serving as queen and princess court members. Shayla also received the L-3 systems FFA & Hunt County Fair Scholarship in the amount of $2,500. Highlights of the week included the following: Bree Dalton: Champion Brangus Heifer, Kraven Dalton: Champion ORB Heifer, Madisyn Douglas: Champion Santa Gertrudis Heifer and Overall Reserve Champion American Breed, Raegan Sumrow: Reserve Champion Brahman Heifer, Jacklynn Jackson: Reserve Grand Champion Market Broilers, Justin Richey: Champion Intermediate Lamb Showmanship, Caleigh Cummings: Champion Intermediate Fryer Showmanship, 1^st Place Senior Livestock Judging Team including Reid Tallant (1^st Place Individual), Jaxson Dillard, Shayla Daugherty, Abbi Farr, and 2^nd Place Junior Livestock Judging Team including Justin Richey, Kloe Walker (3^rd Place Individual), Paris Walker (2^nd Place Individual), Koby Brown (10^th Place Individual). Celeste FFA concluded the successful week by selling twenty-six lots in the Hunt County Fair Premium Auction.
