WILGUS IS UIL 2012-2013 STATE CHAMP! Frances Wilgus competed at the state level in the Conference 1A UIL Academics Prose Interpretation Contest on May 20-22, 2013.
In the preliminaries, Frances read “The Good Mother” by Elise Sharron and placed 1st overall in her section. She read “Pretty” by Yolanda Williams in the final round, and she went on to claim the 2012-2013 UIL Conference 1A Prose Interpretation State Championship. Frances did an outstanding job representing Celeste High School as well as the Celeste community. She is truly an exceptionally talented student whose stellar dedication and integrity are sure to take her to great heights in the future. Frances will be attending Wheaton University in Chicago to study history and social sciences with a minor in theatre arts. Celeste ISD congratulates Ms. Wilgus on an incredible accomplishment. |
